Sticking with sales isn't a discipline problem

Why Hokd exists: visibility, one thing per day, mountains instead of streaks, scripts with version history.

Sticking with sales isn't a discipline problem

Most solo operators I know have no problem delivering good work. The problem is what comes before that: the follow-up email after the discovery call. The cold outreach on Thursday morning that you scheduled on Monday. The script you used on the first pitch, improved on the second, and forgot by the third.

That's not "discipline". It's a visibility problem. You don't see what's piling up because nobody taps you on the shoulder. You don't see which script version converted twice as well last month. You don't see the day you start improvising again instead of using what already worked.

Hokd makes those three things visible.

The actual trick: one thing per day

Daily plans with fifteen items don't work for anyone who really runs their own business. Stuff comes in, stuff goes out, a client calls, the plan is dead.

Hokd flips it. One thing. Today. If that's done, the day counts. Everything else is bonus, not failure.

That one thing isn't "clean up the CRM". It's "send the follow-up to client X". Concrete enough that ten minutes later you know whether you did it.

Mountains instead of streaks

Streaks are cruel. Miss one day, everything resets, bad conscience. I don't know a single self-employed person who has stayed honest with a streak app for six months.

Hokd counts stages, not streaks. Every finished thing earns altitude. Every goal is a mountain — Watzmann, Mont Blanc, Everest. You climb a specific peak, not a number.

It sounds like a gimmick at first. It does something concrete though: it turns "I wrote two follow-ups today" into visible progress on something you picked yourself. Instead of just another to-do line in a list that's never empty.

Scripts that learn with you

If you've done discovery calls or sales pitches, you know the pattern: you use a script, then you improvise, then four weeks later you wonder why your meeting rate dropped.

Hokd has playbooks: your scripts with version history. Per pitch you track the outcome (meeting booked, pipeline value, notes), and after ten runs you see which version actually converts. With Pro, AI summarizes the reviews — what worked, where you drop off, what you should keep.

Local first

Hokd has no account, no login, no tracking. Data stays on your device. AI is optional and Pro-only — on iPhone and Mac, AI runs entirely on-device through Apple Intelligence, your text never leaves the device.

On Android, AI runs through our own backend in Frankfurt to Anthropic Claude and OpenAI. There too: only your input text goes out, nothing is stored.

Who uses Hokd

Solo consultants who do their own sales. Engineers who take side projects seriously in the evenings. Coaches who want to improve their sessions. People who know their discipline isn't the problem — the visibility of what they actually do is.

Get the app, log a stage today. That's all.
